Access to quality education can make a huge difference in the lives of many young individuals. Apart from ensuring that they are equipped with the skills and knowledge they can utilize as they work for a bright future, it also provides them countless opportunities to improve themselves.

However, our current educational system is still very far from ideal. For years, students from low-income families and underprivileged communities have been marginalized. With limited resources, their chances to get what they consider as their ticket to a better life have been jeopardized.

Now that the world is dealing with the pandemic, things have become even harder for them. More students can’t keep up with the demands of new modes of learning designed to adapt to our current situation.

This realization has moved us to partner with EduKonek and launch Tulong E-skwela, a donation drive to provide mobile phones and data for the students from our partner school.

Our beneficiary school

Our partner school is Mat-i National High School in Surigao City. For years, it has been devoted to cultivating the minds of youngsters in the area, including students belonging to Mamanwa, the Manobo, the Subanen, the Badjao, the Mansaka, the Tumanday Rizal, the Magbanwa, and the Maranao.

These groups have already struggled with access to quality education even before the pandemic. Another challenge students from this school are faced with is the lack of mobile phones in their households.

How you can help

We are encouraging you to make a donation and help us raise PHP 55,000 from August 8 to 14, 2020.

The said amount will be enough to cover 10 mobile phones, sim cards, data, and shipping of all the phones to our partner school. We are also pledging 10% of our sales during the entire run of this campaign.

A donation of PHP 250 will be enough to buy eight (8) sim cards, while PHP 500 can allow a student to stay connected for five (5) weeks. Feel free to be as generous as you would like by sending any amount (PHP 250, PHP 500) through any of these channels:
